The CaPTA Group
operates highly successful tourist operations in and around Cairns in Far
North Queensland, Australia.
Locally owned and operated by the Woodward Family of Cairns, the name stands
for
Cairns and Port Trips &
Attractions,
or more informally, Charlie And Pip's Trips &
Attractions.
The CaPTA name was launched on
Wednesday 19th October 2005 at the Cairns Wildlife Dome atop the Reef Hotel
Casino.

Rainforestation Nature Park
in Kuranda has been owned and operated by the Woodwards since 1976,
offering fun, entertainment and relaxation. Tour the rainforest on
an amphibious Army Duck, wander through the Tropical Fruit Orchard,
learn about Aboriginal Culture with the Pamagirri Experience, and
interact with Australian animals in the Wildlife & Koala Park, all
in one convenient location. |

Tropic Wings Coach Tours
is the largest and longest established coach operator in Tropical North
Queensland, owned and operated by the Woodwards since 1981. Day Tours range
from the tropical rainforests of Cape Tribulation and famous Kuranda Village
to the Gulf Savannah Plains of the outback.
With
a
24 hrs/7 day reservations service,
group charters and transfers are also available. |

RnR White Water Rafting,
based in Cairns,
is renowned as Australia’s White Water Rafting specialists.
Operating since 1986, RnR has a reputation synonymous with safety,
service and above all fun. This is a unique way to experience
rainforest with the excitement of rafting on the Barron, Tully and
North Johnstone Rivers, with fully trained and experienced River
Guides. RnR joined CaPTA in 2004. |

The Rainforest Habitat Wildlife Sanctuary
in Port Douglas is a leading wildlife immersion exhibit,
providing visitors with a chance to observe up close a huge range of
flora and fauna.
Opened in 1988 to provide a window into our natural environment,
visitors can wander through three unique recreated environments
depicting rainforest, wetlands, and grasslands. Rainforest Habitat
joined CaPTA in 2005. |

The Cairns Wildlife Dome
is a spectacular all-weather wildlife exhibit encased by a 20 metre high
glass dome on the rooftop of the Reef Hotel Casino, right in the heart of
Cairns. Rainforest birds and animals wander and fly freely throughout the
enclosure that replicates their natural environment, with free guided tours
and presentations all day. Opened in 2003, Cairns Wildlife Dome joined CaPTA
in 2005. |

Jungle Tours and Trekking
operates out of Cairns and Port Douglas and specialises in day and extended
tours to the World Heritage areas of Cape Tribulation and the Daintree. On
extended tours, various levels of accommodation are available from
backpacker dorms to deluxe retreats, with plenty of activity options to
party and play. Jungle Tours joined CaPTA in 2005. |

The Australian Butterfly Sanctuary
is a spell-binding experience as you wander through pristine gardens
with thousands of butterflies floating through the air. Opened in
1987, the Sanctuary is located in the heart of Kuranda Village, with
all butterflies the reared on the premises. Free
guided tours
detail various interesting and little known aspects of a butterfly’s
life cycle and behaviour. |
