INDIGENOUS EMPLOYMENT

CaPTA developed and implemented an Indigenous Employment Strategy (IES) in 2008 to increase employment for local indigenous people.  The strategy has been implemented across the entire group.

The IES is specifically tailored to assist Indigenous employees with long term employment goals, and at the same time providing them with the support of an Indigenous Mentor and linking into many Indigenous community organizations to assist in developing their career pathway.

CaPTA is proud to support indigenous employment and has been part of the QTIC Indigenous Champion Employer Program since 2008.

In 2013, QTIC published a case study featuring CaPTA and its success using the services of Indigenous Mentor, Joy Harris.
