The CaPTA Group continues to show its strength in offering diverse traineeships across the Tropical North region, in wild life, guiding, retail, sales, accounts, administration, horticulture, and food and beverage to name just a few.
In 2007, CaPTA had 40 trainees across a wide variety of career paths and encompassing a variety of age, skill and background.
Ranging from our Tropic Wings Drivers who average in their 50's, to our School based trainees with an average age of 16, and including indigenous persons, people from non-English speaking backgrounds through to mature age employees wanting a career change.
Our innovative programmes include the opportunity for career development for existing employees, assisting our staff with professional development and formalising their already diverse skill set.
We also have a school based "pathway" programme, designed to assist student in Years 11 and 12 to work towards a professional career in either hospitality or tourism.
Our traineeship programme employs people from all age groups and backgrounds in a specific training role where they learn a whole new career.
We also have the STEP-funded Training and employment programme, specifically tailored to assist Indigenous employees with long term employment goals, whilst at the same time as providing them with support from an Indigenous Mentor and linking into many Indigenous community organisations to assist in developing the most appropriate format for training and development.
CaPTA hopes to continue expanding its traineeships to ensure that its companies offer propective employees fantastic opportunities and a great working environment with an Employer that strives to stand out from the rest.
